WHAT IS MARABIKA?
From a first journey to the UAE to a home of fragrance in the Baltics
MARABIKA is for people who want to explore Arabic and niche perfumery without confusing promises. Yet the brand did not begin with a business plan, but with an encounter with fragrance culture, extraordinary bottles and a story that stayed with the team.
The story began in 2008
The official MARABIKA story tells how one founder’s encounter with and love of oriental perfume began in 2008. A young man who had travelled to the United Arab Emirates with his father on business brought back several exceptional fragrances as gifts, presented in bottles of extraordinary beauty. Along with them, he brought home the legend of the desert fragrance.
Online perfume retail began in 2010, while the current legal entity, MB MARABIKA was registered in 2021. As the range expanded, physical locations followed, allowing customers to compare fragrances in person. Today, MARABIKA brings together an online store, nine retail locations and a collection of around 1,200 different fragrances.

The legend of the desert fragrance
It is said that long ago, when the desert still spoke with the wind, there lived a young woman named Amina. She had a rare gift: she recognised people’s destinies not by their clothes or words, but by the true fragrance rising from the heart.
This is an artistic visualisation of the legend; the objects shown are not products.
One night, an old wanderer came to Amina’s tent and left three gifts. He told her not to hurry to blend them: she could do so only when her heart had become completely calm.
For patience

For remembrance
Amina waited for a year. Then she burned the oud, crushed the rose in her palm and warmed the amber on her skin. The air filled with a fragrance that was more than beautiful – it seemed alive. The legend says it soothed those filled with anger, restored hope to the weary and gave courage to those in love.
The wanderer said:
“Blend them, but only when your heart is calm.”
From then on, perfume in this story became not an adornment, but a mark of respect for a guest, a silent prayer and a memory of who you were and who you wish to become.

Arabic perfume is not a single type of scent. It can be fresh, fruity, floral, musky, woody, gourmand or richly oriental. Likewise, the word “niche” is not an automatic guarantee of quality – what matters is the composition itself, its character and how it feels to you.

When selecting and presenting our range, we aim to help you compare what truly matters. The value of a fragrance cannot be reduced to the single word “strong”, and popularity alone cannot tell you whether a scent will suit your everyday life.

Fresh, sweet, floral, fruity, woody, smoky, oriental or gourmand – understanding the direction helps narrow the search.
Notes and development
Top, heart and base notes are a guide. The final impression comes from how they work together and how the fragrance develops on skin.
Occasion and setting
A workday, a gift, an evening or a collection may call for different projection, intensity and mood.
Trying it for yourself
The first minute does not reveal the whole fragrance. If you can, compare it on a blotter, try it on skin and assess it again after a few hours.
What we deliberately do not promise
We cannot guarantee identical longevity or a “100% perfect” match for everyone. Skin, dosage, weather, olfactory perception and the formula itself all change the experience. What we can do is help you understand the options and reduce guesswork.

Are all Arabic perfumes heavy and very sweet?
No. The world of Arabic fragrance also includes fresh citrus, clean musk, fruity, floral, green and light everyday compositions. Origin or stylistic direction alone does not determine intensity.
Does MARABIKA ship abroad?

What is the difference between Arabic, niche and oil perfumes?
“Arabic” usually describes an origin, tradition or perfumery direction; “niche” an independent creative or market position; and “oil” the product format and carrier. These terms can overlap, so always assess the individual product.
What is the returns policy?
